Medical and surgical treatment can be expensive, especially orthopaedics. There are a range of insurance packages available through different companies, some for only illness or accidents, others for both. Check with your own insurance company first to see what they have available.

Remember to always read the small print as not all problems, ages and breeds may be covered (eg most companies won’t cover for breeding problems) and not all companies cover for the same amount of costs.
